I started to take photographs in the middle of 2002. But that
was just a very greenhorn start without having the basic understanding
of aperture and shutter speed.
It was only after I purchased my first digital SLR, Fujifilm
S2 Pro, with two lenses, Nikkor 80-200mm and Nikkor 18-35mm,
then I really started to pick up photography.
I started to read books and learn from the other photographers.
Only a few months, I found my improvement surprising. I really
started to enjoy the great fun of taking pictures.

I decided to shoot films instead of digital pictures. I bought
Nikon F5, one of the best SLRs I've ever used. I replced my
80-200mm lens with 70-200mm, and 18-35mm lens with 17-35mm.
My new equipments made me have a in-depth perspective of the
techniques in photography, and enhanced my experience in manipulating
both digital and film based cameras.
The year 2003 was so existing and memorial to me. Not only
because I started to shoot photographs, got chances to go to
some exotic places, such as Lebanon and Dubai, but the most
important of all, I got married. The year ended with an amazingly
unforgettable honeymoon to Maldives, where my wife and I saw
the most beautiful beaches and waters in the world.
Although I took thousands of pictures in 2003, unfortunately
there is not a single "masterpiece", or at least to
my 100% satisfaction. But you can not expect more, I just started
from "A", and I know I am going to have a long long
way to the "Z", maybe never. But I don't care, what
I do appreciate is, I am enjoying in doing it, and I am seeing
my progress everyday.
