2004 - FUNDAMENTAL SELF-STUDY TO SYSTEMATIC ADVANCEMENT

Starting the year by an amazing trip to Cambodia. It is one of the best tour sites and photographic sites that I've ever been.

In May I moved to work in the United States. I found it is expensive to have my films developed and digitized in US then in China. So I purchased a Nikon 5000 ED film scanner, which saves me a lot money to have my films scanned in the stores, and the most important, it gives me a lot of image manipulation, such as contrast, colors, details, and etc.

In July, I bought my third camera, Leica M7. I do not want be defined as a camera collector. I just coundn't help myself to pour out my savings to get my dream camera. I got two lenses to go with my Leica M7, a Summicron 50mm F2.0, and a Summilux 35mm F1.4. I am pretty much satisfied with my new Equipments. Next aim probably would be a Hasselblad XPan II.

One of the most important decisions I've made in 2004 is, I decided to enroll New York Institute of Photography in the middle of October. I was exicited when I received the first unit of my educational materials. It was a big rich package. I know I've got a lot to learn, I know I've stepped out twwards a systematic program in photography, and I know I will be shooting like the pros in the future.
